He said that with the effective implementation of the overall epidemic prevention and development policies, China's economic boom continued to recover and the operating conditions of enterprises continued to improve. In July, China's purchasing managers' index continued to operate smoothly, with the manufacturing purchasing managers' index at 51.1%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. The non manufacturing business activity index and the comprehensive PMI output index were 54.2% and 54.1% respectively, slightly lower than 0.2 and 0.1 percentage points from the previous month

Zhao Qinghe pointed out that the purchasing manager index of manufacturing industry has been above the critical point for five consecutive months. In July, the manufacturing PMI was 51.1%, continuing the trend of steady growth in the previous month. In terms of PM futures in 17 of the 21 industries surveyed: iron ore 1605 contract was strong throughout the day, I was higher than the critical point, increased by 3 compared with the previous month, and the scope of prosperity was expanded. Main features of this month:

first, production generally rebounded. The production index was 54.0%, slightly higher than that of the previous month by 0.1 percentage points. From the perspective of industry conditions, except for chemical fiber and rubber and plastic products, the production indexes of other 20 industries are higher than the critical point, among which textile, clothing, clothing, wood processing and other manufacturing industries have risen above the critical point for the first time since the epidemic. In order to meet production needs, enterprises have increased their purchasing efforts. The purchasing volume index rebounded significantly this month, at 52.4%, 0.6 percentage points higher than last month

second, the demand gradually warms up. The new order index was 51.7%, 0.3 percentage points higher than last month, rising for three consecutive months. From the perspective of the industry, the new order index of manufacturing industries such as papermaking and printing, electrical and mechanical equipment, computer communication and electronic equipment has increased continuously above the critical point, and the recovery momentum of the industry continues to strengthen

third, the import and export situation continues to improve. With the gradual relaxation of isolation and blockade measures in major economies around the world and the resumption of economic activities, as well as the implementation and entry into force of a series of policies and measures to stabilize foreign trade issued by China, the import and export of manufacturing industry has warmed up. This month, the new export order index and import index were 48.4% and 49.1% respectively, 5.8 and 2.1 percentage points higher than last month

fourth, the purchase price index of main raw materials rose to a recent high. The purchase price index and ex factory price index of main raw materials were 58.1% and 52.2% respectively, an increase and a decrease compared with the previous month. Affected by the recovery of demand in downstream industries, the price of upstream products increased significantly. The purchase price index of major raw materials in petroleum processing, steel, nonferrous metals and other manufacturing industries was higher than 63.0%, and the ex factory price index was higher than 58.0%

fifth, enterprises are expected to further improve. The expected index of production and operation activities was 57.8%, 0.3 percentage points higher than that of the previous month. Enterprises are optimistic about the recent recovery of the industry. From the perspective of the industry, the expected indexes of production and operation activities of food, wine, beverage, refined tea, medicine, electrical and mechanical equipment and other manufacturing industries are higher than 60.0%, and the labor demand of the above industries has increased month on month, and the employee index is above 51.0%

the survey results also showed that the PMI of small enterprises this month was 48.6%, down 0.3 percentage points from the previous month, and continued to be below the critical point, of which the production index and new order index were 49.8% and 46.8% respectively, and the supply and demand of small enterprises continued to be under pressure. Zhao Qinghe pointed out that the non manufacturing business activity index continued to remain above the critical point. In July, the non manufacturing business activity index was 54.2%, down 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, and remained above the critical point

the service industry maintained a recovery trend. The business activity index of the service industry was 53.1%, down 0.3 percentage points from the previous month, and continued to be higher than the critical point. From the perspective of the industry, the business activity index of postal express, accommodation, catering, telecommunications, securities and other industries was higher than that of last month, and the total business volume increased. This month, the business activity index of residents' service industry and culture, sports and entertainment industry ended the contraction trend for five consecutive months, rising to 51.1% and 51.9% respectively, 1.9 and 6.1 percentage points higher than last month, indicating that under the action of a series of consumption promotion policies in various regions in the recent past, the clustered and contact service industries that were seriously affected by the epidemic in the early stage accelerated the recovery
